Selsey has been a famous fishing village for centuries. In the centre of the Fishing Beach (East Beach) are the Fishermann’s Huts. The fisherman mainly catch Lobsters,Crabs and Prawns, but also a variety of different fish including Skate, Plaice and Makerel. Winkles are found in the area to the North of the peninsular, known locally as the Winkle Beds.
